Golden Horn Beach

Golden Horn Beach

Zlatni Rat – Dugi Rat is a spit, which is located near the center of Bol, located on the island of Brac, and washed by the waters of the Adriatic Sea. The waters of the Adriatic Sea are considered the most curative in Europe because of their high salt content.  The white pebble beach, surrounded by pine groves, is protected by the state as a geomorphological landmark. The beach is about 600 meters long, although this distance is constantly changing and it depends on the climatic conditions at the time. The water around the beach is surprisingly clear and cooler than on other beaches in Croatia because of the cold undercurrents around the island.

Golden Horn is considered to be the most beautiful beach in Croatia, also because of the changes in its shape.

The beach attracts tourists from all over the world, as it has a well-developed infrastructure, many cafes, restaurants, where you can enjoy a variety of seafood, a lot of water activities (jet skis, diving, water skiing, vidsurfing, parasailing), walking through the pine grove, where the pool and there are the ruins of an ancient villa. For children will be interesting to visit the water park, inflatable city, and jumping on the trampoline court.

The trip to the island takes a little time, about 50-60 minutes, if you go from Split to Bol town by hovercraft, having fun also from the sea walk. From the pier in Bol you can get to the beach on a two-car almost toy train or by sea, or you can walk through the pine groves enjoying the scent and coolness of the shady alleys. You can also stay on the island itself.
