Beach vacation in Abkhazia

Somewhere there is unbearable heat, and Abkhazia was “washed away by rain”. As a result of the downpour that hit the republic, roads were washed away. In many regions there is no electricity. Garbage is lying everywhere. Some houses have been subjected to significant waterlogging. Ritsinsky National Park is closed for visits. Sanitary and epidemiologic supervision does not recommend drinking raw water, it is better to boil it. The most affected were well-known resorts: Gagra, Sukhumi and Pitsunda.
At the moment there is a stabilization of the situation in Abkhazia, but restoration of the destroyed as a result of the rampant disaster will not happen soon.
Stormy streams of water carried a huge amount of garbage, both on land and in the sea, so the Ministry of Tourism proposed to close beaches to restore order. However, this initiative was not supported by representatives of other departments and structures, believing that vacationers simply should refrain from visiting beaches and swimming in the sea until the elimination of consequences. However, as soon as the hurricane left the expanses of Abkhazia, the Black Sea was filled with people bathing and sunbathing. Bad weather and other troubles are no reason to change plans for a vacation.
