For the inhabitants of the archipelago, tourism is the main source of income, the majority of the population is employed in the tourism industry. By imposing restrictions on the number of travelers, the country’s authorities seek to preserve the ecology and the environment, as well as the quality of life of the population. Ultimately, the plan is to achieve an “inclusive and sustainable model of tourism.
